AER - Volume 6 Issue 4 Winter 2017
Welcome to our final issue of 2017. This year has been a busy one for Arrhythmia & Electrophysiology Review. A tribute issue devoted to the late Mark Josephson and his work was published early in the year, while efforts continued to increase the visibility of articles to the global electrophysiology community.
The first meta-analysis to be published in AER appears in the current issue, elucidating whether minimally invasive epicardial surgical ablation or hybrid ablation is the better approach to AF. This issue of AER also includes articles on the atrioventricular node and its underlying heterogeneities and how optimum risk assessment for stroke in patients with AF might be improved. A detailed look at managing complications in anti-coagulated patients with AF brings together guidelines on the subject to help busy clinicians.
We extend thanks to all the contributors, peer reviewers and readers for their continued support of Arrhythmia & Electrophysiology Review during 2017. The coming year will see us publish more high-quality clinical reviews, editorials and opinion pieces to disseminate current thinking to electrophysiologists everywhere.
